Mission Statement

The First Southern Baptist Church of Mattoon, Illinois has been equipped with men who have the skills, physical ability and The Holy Spirit to help build the “Kingdom of God”.

The focus of the “FSBC” of Mattoon Baptist Men’s group is to demonstrate God’s love to the community, state and nation by making their skills and abilities available to all of those that may have specific needs, which may include being a part of a Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team, where the men are lead by The Spirit to help.

The ultimate goal is that men will grow spiritually in Christ as they come together in Bible study and work so that the “Kingdom of God” will be raised in their church, community and in their home.

Isaiah 6:8(NIV)

8Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?”

And I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
